PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an air conditioner, preventing unnecessary breaker operation. SOLUTION: This control device 4 is a control device of the air conditioner 1 loaded with a variable displacement inverter compressor 11, and provided with a micro-computer 5. The micro-computer 4 controls the air conditioner 1 based upon the refrigerant state of a refrigerant circuit 10 including the inverter compressor 11. The micro-computer 5 computes an estimated value of a total consumption current in the air conditioner 1 in the case of raising the operational frequency in raising the operational frequency of the inverter compressor 11, and the estimated value and a preset total consumption current upper limit value are compared to determine permission or non-permission to raise the operational frequency.
