PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method capable of suppressing image slipping and outputting image quality without any faults. SOLUTION: The image forming method is composed of; an electrifying process electrifying an image carrier surface, an exposure process exposing an image carrier and forming an electrostatic latent image, a developing process forming a toner image by having toner transit to the electrostatic latent image, a transfer process transferring the toner image to a recording medium, and a cleaning process cleaning the image carrier surface with a blade. Friction coefficient for the image carrier surface is 0.6 to 1.4, material for the blade fulfill formula (1):3.92≤M≤29.42 [M expresses 100% modulus (MPa)], formula (2): 0<α≤0.294 [αexpresses äΔstress/Δamount of distortion=(stress at amount of distortion at 200% - stress at amount of distortion at 100%)/(200-100)}(MPa/%)], formula (3): S≥250[S expresses breaking elongation (%) ] and abrading agent is supplied to a contact part between the image carrier and the cleaning blade.
