PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent hanging-down of each wall of a wire mesh container enclosed in a form. SOLUTION: The form for manufacturing a gabion of approximately rectangular parallelepiped shape comprises a lower support body 1 for enclosing the wire mesh container serving as an outer frame of the gabion; an upper cover body 2 journaled in an openable/closable manner to the lower support body 1; and locking members 10 provided at the lower support body 1 and locking each wall upper side of the wire mesh container enclosed in the lower support body 1 to carry out position fixing. The lower support body 1 supports in external contact with each wall of the wire mesh container, and the upper cover body 2 comprises an opening 2a allowing stones to be thrown into the wire mesh container in the lower support body 1 when closed.
