<p>The present invention provides a use of cholinesterase for manufacturing a medicament for the treatment or prevention of mammalian diseases mediated by tachykinins. The diseases include pain, inflammation, disorder of central nervous system, disorder of respiratory system, gastrointestinal disorder, allergy, neuropathy, immune-related disease, rheumatism, dermatosis, and chronic fatigue syndrome. The cholinesterase may be acetylcholinesterase, butylcholinesterase, or isoenzyme or derivatives thereof. They may be obtained from animal cells, tissues, blood, from plant, or by method of gene recombination.</p> |
