A method for testing a bidirectional communication interface comprising a transmitter (8) and a receiver (7) connected to a same transmission line (4) comprises the steps of
a) repeatedly emitting (S3, S7, S14) a test signal in a first frequency range by the transmitter (8), each of said emitted test signals being associated to a reference time mark,
b) receiving response signals (S4, S8) in a second frequency range associated to said test signals at the receiver (7) such that the reference time marks of their associated test signals are synchronized, yielding a superimposed response signal,
c) based on the superimposed response signal, judging (S11, S18) the interface to be in order or not in order. |
