The conveying drive has an electrical machine provided as a direct drive with a stator (3) and a rotor (4). The rotor is directly connected with the electrical machine and a cable carrier (5) or a part of the rotor is formed as the cable carrier. The machine is formed as a synchronous machine or as an asynchronous machine. Poles or pole segments of the rotor and/or cable guiding units (7) are directly attached at a hollow cylinder. A flange (6) has the pole segments arranged at a front side of the cable carrier, and the poles, where the flange forms the rotor.
