<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for synthesizing a thin film of diamond at an optional part on a glass substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The method for synthesizing diamond on a glass substrate 4 comprises: a stage (A) where masking is performed to a desired shape; a stage (B) where the surface of the glass substrate 4 is damaged with diamond powder; a stage (C) where the glass substrate 4 is installed in a sealed chamber whose inside has a heating means, and hydrogen and a liquid carbon source as a carbon source for diamond are introduced into the chamber; and a stage (D) where heating is performed by a heating means 2, and carbon is evaporated from the liquid carbon source, and is precipitated over the glass substrate 4 as diamond. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
