<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control resistance torque generated by a device. <P>SOLUTION: This bump stopper is provided with a roller bearing 20 with a rotor 26 arranged between a lower metal washer 22 and an upper metal washer 24. A friction ring 34 is fixed to a first washer being one of the lower metal washer and the upper metal washer, and rubs against a second metal washer to generate static friction torque exceeding the static friction torque of the rotor (in fact, 1 Nm). By the control resistance torque generated by the friction ring 34, torque generated by a vehicle traveling on an uneven road surface is suppressed from being transmitted to a steering column. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
