PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat storage device capable of efficiently separating a heat storage body and a heat exchange medium, while reducing the volume of the heat exchange medium. SOLUTION: Erythritol 3 and oil 2 are held in a heat storage vessel 1a of the heat storage device 1. Heat storage is carried out in the erythritol 3 by latent heat storage. In the oil 2, heat exchange is carried out by contact with the erythritol 3, and it is separated from the erythritol 3 since its specific gravity is smaller than the erythritol 3. In at least one vertical cross section of the heat storage vessel 1a, a horizontal width of an inner face 1i is smaller in an upper part side than a bottom side, and the heat storage device 1 has a portion with a horizontal width becoming gradually smaller from a bottom side toward the upper part side.
