PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the variation of an emboss design by making effective use of a die. SOLUTION: In the device for processing a can body with which projecting patterns 35a, 35b and recessed patterns 36a-36c are formed on the side wall of the body part 41b by holding the side wall of the can body 41a of a metal can 10a between an inside roll 11 and an outside roll 12 and performing pressure bonding, the inside roll 11 and the outside roll 12 are respectively composed by being divided into a plurality of segmental dies 21a, 21b, 22a, 22c, 23a, 23b, 23c, 24a, 24b and at least one of the segmental dies 21a, 21b, 22a, 22c of the inside roll 11 are projecting segmental dies 21a, 21b on the outside surface of which projecting engravings are formed and at least one of the segmental dies 23a, 23b, 23c, 24a, 24b of the outside roll 12 are projecting segmental dies 23a-23c on the outside surface of which projecting engravings 32 are formed.
