The method involves connecting input and output shafts (12, 14) to a sleeve (28, 30) by plastic deformation. A stamped indentation (36a, 36b) is formed as a part of a negative contour (32, 34) on the input and output shafts. The sleeve is pressed into the negative contour for locking. The stamped indentation is attached at a base of the contour, which includes diagonal or rounded off edges. The sleeve is plastically deformed by a punch.
