The console (20) has a turning element (28) for turning a hydraulic unit (22) during movement caused by an accident, where the turning element is bent in an angle with respect to a vehicle longitudinal direction and a vehicle high direction. The turning element is designed as a component area (26) of the console, and is provided in an edge area of the console turned forward and/or to middle of the vehicle, where the console is connected with an adjacent supporting component i.e. longitudinal carrier (12) in an area of a crunch zone (10).
