<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup with simple and compact configuration, compatible with a plurality of types of optical disks using beams of same wavelengths. <P>SOLUTION: A first rising mirror 37 is inserted or retreated in the optical path of an optical beam or a reflected beam to switch optical paths of objective lenses 28A and 28B. Thus, use efficiency of optical beams is increased, the introduction direction of an optical beam to a lens holder 45 is aligned with the arrangement of the objective lenses to increase the rigidity of the lens holder 45. Moreover, tangential arrangement of the objective lenses 28A and 28B enables reduction of a size of the entire optical disk device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
