<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct unevenness of charge of a photoconductor, unevenness of the amount of light of laser when the photoconductor is scanned in an OFS optical system, and unevenness of the amount of light of laser caused by unevenness of the surfaces of a polygon mirror. <P>SOLUTION: A charge unevenness memory of the photoconductor stores charge unevenness data caused by the photoconductor. A laser light-amount unevenness memory stores light amount unevenness data of the laser with respect to the surfaces of the polygon mirror. According to the charge unevenness data of the photoconductor and the light amount unevenness data of the laser, in a correction data generating unit, a computing process according to both the data is carried out, thereby generating new correction data which corrects both the charge unevenness and the light amount unevenness. According to the obtained correction data, the laser light amount can be controlled, and a uniform image in which the concentration unevenness of the image is reduced can be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
