<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which a medium is easily set to a manual insertion paper feeding port. <P>SOLUTION: The medium is set piece by piece to the manual insertion paper feeding port in the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus is provided with: a medium detection means detecting the medium at the manual insertion paper feeding port; a pre-feeding condition retaining means retaining a pre-feeding condition for the medium; a manual insertion error detection means detecting a manual insertion error based on the number of times the medium is detected in the manual insertion paper feeding port during a prescribed time; and a pre-feeding condition varying means varying the pre-feeding condition according to the pre-feeding condition retained in the pre-feeding condition retaining means when the manual insertion error is detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
