<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a digest video image corresponding to a request that is different for every viewer. <P>SOLUTION: Data 41 for digest generation store color features 51, audio features 73 and telop feature data 87 required for generating a requested digest video image from known information while following, as the known information, a program ID 43 identifying program content (that is a baseball game), a date/time 45 on which the baseball game is played, and a broadcast station/content distribution service ID 47 identifying a broadcast station or a distribution service distributing video content.
