<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display panel which is improved in sideward visibility by improving brightness. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of pixels each include a first thin film transistor T1, first and second liquid crystal capacitors Clc1 and Clc2, a coupling capacitor Ccp, and a discharging circuit DC. The first liquid crystal capacitor Clc1 is connected to a data line DLm through the first thin film transistor T1 and the second liquid crystal capacitor Clc2 is connected to the first liquid crystal capacitor Clc1 in parallel through the coupling capacitor Ccp. Then the discharging circuit DC is connected between the second liquid crystal capacitor Ccp and second liquid crystal capacitor Clc2 and discharges electric charges accumulated in the second liquid crystal capacitor Clc2 through the data line DLm. This display panel provides a discharge path for discharging the electric charges accumulated in the second liquid crystal capacitor Clc2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
