PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map display device with which processing time for three-dimensionally displaying a map can be shortened. SOLUTION: Map data recorded on a DVD-ROM includes visual point position data 20. The visual point position data 20 includes data of a position serving as a reference of the visual point position for displaying a three-dimensional map, that is, the data of a guiding point. The data of a guiding point includes a guiding point position 231, information of a corresponding link ID 232, and information of a beginning/terminal end 233. When the present position of a vehicle is detected, the link corresponding to the present position of the vehicle is extracted, the guiding point corresponding to the link is extracted and, based on the position of the guiding point, the visual point position is calculated.
