RADIO COMMUNICATION TERMINAL AND SCANNING OPERATION CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the stability of communication even in an environment where communication quality with an access point is unstable. SOLUTION: This radio communication terminal is provided with: a communication quantity measurement part 2 for measuring a communication quantity in communication with an access point; a scanning execution part 3 for executing scanning for searching the communicatable access point; a hand-over execution part 4 for executing hand-over; and a control part 5 for controlling the scanning execution part 3 and the hand-over execution part 4 based on the measurement result of the communication quantity measurement part. When status quo communication quality as communication quality in the communication with the access point under connection becomes lower than a predetermined scanning start threshold, the control part 5 makes the scanning executing part 3 start scanning, and when the status quo communication quality becomes higher than a scanning stop threshold set so as to be higher than the scanning start threshold, the control part 5 makes the scanning executing part 3 stop the scanning.
