PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable signals having a wide range of voltage to be input into a circuit chip through a configuration simpler than usual. SOLUTION: A circuit device 20 includes a circuit chip 24 with a switching circuit 28, which switches connections between output terminals DoutA and DoutB and a reference voltage connection terminal Vcc or a grounding connection terminal Vss on the basis of prescribed control signals, and a resistance circuit 30, which has a resistor R1 connected to a signal input terminal 22 and the input terminal Ain of the circuit chip 24 and resistors R2A and R2B connected to the input terminal Ain and output terminals DoutA and DoutB of the circuit chip 24. Owing to this setup, other than the prescribed control signals need not be input into the circuit chip 24 to switch a connection between the output terminals DoutA and DoutB and the reference voltage connection terminal Vcc or grounding connection terminal Vss and change the range of signals that can be input through the signal input terminal 22, so that signals having a wide range of voltage can be input into the circuit chip 24 through a configuration simpler than usual.
