<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery enhancing cycle properties. <P>SOLUTION: The battery is equipped with a positive electrode 21 and a negative electrode 22 together with an electrolytic solution, where a separator 23 provided between the positive electrode 21 and the negative electrode 22 is impregnated with the electrolytic solution. The electrolytic solution comprises as an electrolyte salt an ionic compound such as lithium (2,2-difluoromalonato, oxalato)borate, lithium [bis(3,3,3-trifluoromethyl)glycolato, oxalato]borate or the like. In the ionic compound, an anion has an asymmetric structure and a ligand having an oxygen chelate structure in the anion contains halogen as a constituting element thereof.
