PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching device wherein contacts of movable contact pieces can be formed without requiring an expensive separate member and work to assemble the separate member to reduce its cost. SOLUTION: In this switching device formed so that a passive mechanism is operated by an operating member operated by a user, the movable contact pieces 58-60, 61-63 are deformed and restored by the passive mechanism which has been operated, and switching action to have the contacts 76-78, 79-81 of the movable contact pieces 58-60, 61-63 contacted and separated from a stationary contact is thereby carried out, the contacts 76-78, 79-81 of the movable contact pieces 58-60, 61-63 are formed by applying a mechanical process to make some of the movable contact pieces 58-60, 61-63 protrude.
