PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display which can be positioned along a display surface of a liquid crystal panel, while display image is successfully maintained, even though environmental temperature is changed and which is advantageous in attaining large size. SOLUTION: Positioning pieces 50 abut against mutually facing side parts of the liquid crystal panel 32 for positioning the liquid crystal panel 32. The positioning pieces 50 are integrally protruded, from a plate part 38A near to a sidewall 38C on a short side which is a location where a rear wall 48 lies opposite to each other, and abut against the short sides of both the sides of the liquid crystal panel 32 for positioning the right and the left directions of the liquid crystal panel 32. The positioning pieces 50 are formed so that the positioning pieces can be deformed elastically along the surface direction of the liquid crystal panel 32. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
