PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent liquid shampoo with such a new composition as to use no fatty acid diethanolamide having been used so far as a foam-increasing agent, be stable over a wide temperature range with transparency, be further improved in safety, feeling in use and touch feeling than ever, and be capable of improving itself to give foam quality of reducing hair damage attributable to hair washing. SOLUTION: The liquid shampoo is characterized by containing a total of 5.0-40.0 wt.% of an anionic surfactant and/or an amphoteric surfactant which do(es) not make diethanolamine free and 0.01-10.0 wt.% of lauroylglutamic acid.
