PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing various crops from pathogenic microbes, characterized by applying a composition containing (RS)-N-[2-(1,3-dimethylbutyl)thiophen-3-yl]-1-methyl-3-trifluoromethyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxamide (general name: penthiopyrad) as an active ingredient to plant seeds, and to provide a method for preventing present actualized resistant microbes. SOLUTION: This method for preventing the pathogenic microbes is characterized by contacting a composition containing penthiopyrad with plant seeds. The method for preventing the pathogenic microbes exhibits an effect for preventing various crops from pathogenic microbes and also an effect for preventing the various crops from present actualized resistant microbes.
