PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding part and a recorder having the same, capable of smoothly and excellently performing paper feeding and recording processing, without causing paper feeding failure and recording processing failure by highly accurately positioning a medium. SOLUTION: This paper feeding part has a drawer drawable from a side surface of a device case, and allows attaching and detaching of a paper cassette for storing sheet-like paper in the drawer in a layered state, and delivers the paper from the paper cassette. The drawer has a positioning tray 24 for placing the paper cassette in a predetermined position, a base tray 21 fixed to the device case and slidably supporting the positioning tray 24, a first positioning means, a second positioning means and a third positioning means for positioning the positioning tray 24 in the predetermined position with respect to the base tray 21, and positions the positioning tray 24 in the height direction and the plane direction in three places.
