PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor plate device for a passenger conveyer capable of facilitating mounting work of a manhole cover and preventing the deformation of the manhole cover by the mounting work. SOLUTION: The end face in the side of a first manhole cover 4 of a manhole cover receiving part 1a is provided with a recessed part 1b being engaged with an attachment/detachment tool for mounting the first manhole cover 4. The recessed part 1b is provided at a central part in the width direction of a comb plate 1. In mounting the first manhole cover 4, the first manhole cover 4 is placed on a support beam 6 and then moved to the side of the comb plate 1.
