PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera having improved efficiency by solving a problem wherein the efficiency is not good in a diaphragm drive device in the conventional camera because it is always actuated in response to input from a release switch or the like. SOLUTION: The camera 3 is provided with an attaching part 34 to which a lens barrel 2 is attachably/detachably attached, and a first drive part 38 which can drive a diaphragm part 10 included in the lens barrel 2. The first drive part 38 can switch between an actuation feasible state where it is actuated in response to the input so as to drive the diaphragm part 10 and an actuation limited state where its actuation is limited. Then, the first drive part 38 is set to the actuation limited state when the lens barrel 2 attached to the attaching part 34 is equipped with a second drive part 12 for driving the diaphragm part 10.
