The machine has a rotor supported in a multi-part housing and consisting of rotor shaft (1) with a permanent magnet disk (5) that is fixed to the rotor shaft. A front side of the magnet disk is covered by a cover plate (8), and the magnet disk has a front-sided axial distance forming an air gap at a front side to stator halves (6, 7) arranged on the rotor shaft. The rotor shaft is supported by a roller bearing that provides a front-sided housing, where supporting of the rotor takes place in an area of an inner diameter of the magnet disk. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a bearing for an electrical machine.
