<p>A method of producing a pneumatic tire, which can prevent, in forming a circumferential reinforcement layer by using a jointless material including one or more steel cords coated with rubber, production of air pockets caused by variation in the positions of wrapping of the jointless material. In the method of producing a pneumatic tire, the circumferential reinforcement layer is formed by wrapping the jointless material, including one or more steel cords coated with rubber, around the outer peripheral side of a carcass layer in the tread. In the wrapping, the jointless material is helically wrapped in the axially direction of the tire while being oriented in the circumferential direction of the tire. The jointless material has a substantially parallelogram-shaped lateral cross section, and the angle a of inclination of the parallelogram satisfies 5° = a = 20°.</p> |
