<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module wherein an appropriate optical modulated wave can be established and high-temperature operation and low power consumption can also be realized. <P>SOLUTION: The optical module is provided with a stem; a projected part formed on the surface of the stem; an optical semiconductor element mounted on the projected part; a power supply terminal that is electrically insulated from the stem and penetrates the stem; a first dielectric substrate mounted on the projected part; a first signal wire that is formed on the first dielectric substrate and connects the optical semiconductor element with one end of the power supply terminal; a second dielectric substrate formed on the rear surface of the stem; and a second signal wire that is connected with the other end of the power supply terminal. In this case, the electric length of the second signal wire is 23.0-36.2 mm, and the impedance of the second signal wire is 21.5-24.5 Ω. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
