<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter improving an operability when inserting the catheter from the body outside along a guide wire, preventing excessive extension/deformation of a shaft in an unanticipated situation without reducing a channel of expansion fluid and greatly reducing risk of damage of the shaft and a blood vessel by the rear end of a core wire. <P>SOLUTION: This catheter is provided with at least a distal end side shaft 2 consisting of a resin tube, a rear end side shaft 3 having rigidity higher than that of the distal end side shaft, and a guide wire lumen 5; and is disposed with the coil wire for adjusting flexibility so that the distal end side shaft rear end side 2B becomes harder than the distal end side shaft tip side 2A and softer than the rear end side shaft. The core wire is fixed to the distal end side shaft in a part near the rear end side opening part of the guide wire lumen, and a reinforcing member having the tip and the rear end enabling to reinforce a fracture strength of the resin tube and control the extension is disposed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
