ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM USING PORTABLE ELECTRONIC APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an access control system which eliminates the necessity of verifying reading program for each gate and preventing a setting error of a memory address to be read by a reader.

SOLUTION: The access control system comprises a portable electronic apparatus having a non-contact IC card function mounted thereon and an access control device which controls a gate to permit entry/exit on the basis of authentication ID information received from the portable electronic apparatus. The portable electronic apparatus includes a storage means wherein different authentication ID information are stored, a display means for displaying stored gate information, a selection means for selecting gate information displayed on the display means, and a means for storing authentication ID information selected by the selection means into a prescribed storage area preliminarily provided to be read by the access control device so that this information can be rewritten. The access control device includes a means which reads authentication ID information stored in the storage area of the portable electronic apparatus when reading authentication ID information from the portable electronic apparatus.
