<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a chat system using video passed through the Internet has a missing frame due to loss of a packet. <P>SOLUTION: A video encoder 210 performs inter-frame encoding of a motion picture photographed by a camera 240 to generate a motion picture encoded stream. When a frame is not received normally at a reception destination which receives the motion picture encoded stream, an I-frame transmission request managing unit 202 receives a reference frame transmission request signal making a request to transmit an I frame which is not processed by inter-frame encoding from the reception destination, and determines whether the received reference frame transmission request signal is accepted. The I frame transmission request managing unit 202 when receiving the I frame transmission request signal supplies an I frame setting signal to the video encoder 210, which receives the I frame setting signal to set a next frame to be encoded as an I frame, and then performs inter-frame encoding of the motion picture. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
