PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for storing and displaying images which efficiently supports grouping of images or the like not grouped yet when images, videos or the like stored in a large quantity are grouped. SOLUTION: The device for storing and displaying the images sorts and controls a large quantity of images or the like in groups while reproducing and displaying the images or the like. The device has a summary display control means reproducing and controlling the images or the like belonging to the groups by a slide show when a summary for the images or the like is displayed. The device further has a means specifying the images or the like to be moved from the images or the like reproduced on the slide show and specifying destination groups and a means moving the images or the like to be moved to the destination groups after those groups are specified. When the images or the like to be moved are specified, the slide show is stopped temporarily, and the temporarily stopped slide show is resumed when image movement to those destination groups is completed.
