PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic transfer device using a master carrier used for servo pattern writing to a magnetic recording medium used for a magnetic disk device, in which such a situation is avoided that the master carrier is bent in a non-transfer region other than a servo region of the magnetic recording medium and a region where transfer is not originally needed comes in contact with the master carrier during magnetic transfer, and thereby peeling of a lubricant applied on the surface of the magnetic recording medium in the non-transfer region other than the servo region and adhesion of dirt due to unnecessary contact are prevented. SOLUTION: A ring-shaped spacer sandwiched by an outer circumferential part of a slave medium and the master carrier is provided at a facing part of the master carrier and the slave medium and positive pressure is generated in a space enclosed by the master carrier, the slave medium and the spacer, so that the master carrier and the slave medium do not come in contact with each other in the region other than the servo region.
