PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling system for an engine capable of more early warming up the engine. SOLUTION: The engine cooling system 100 has a heat storage tank 106 formed for storing cooling medium while keeping it warm. The cooling medium stored in the heat storage tank 106 is introduced into an engine block 101 in engine starting. The engine block 101 is thus warmed up in the engine starting. Then, before completion of the warm-up operation, the cooling water is discharged from the engine block 101 to the heat storage tank 106. The warm-up operation is thus performed promptly.
