Production of resin-coated or -impregnated fiber articles comprises charging the article, charging resin-containing particles, applying them to the fibers and heat-fixing the particles to them. Independent claims are included for: (A) the fiber coated articles; and (B) apparatus for carrying out the method comprising a first charging station (22) for applying a charge to the fibers; a second charging station (28) for charging the particles; a coating or impregnation station (30) ; and a heating station (34) for melting the resin-containing particles.
