<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device enhancing the effect for dissipating the heat generated by a light source of a backlight by devising a substrate on which the light source of the backlight is mounted and the shape of a case holding the substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal module includes: a liquid crystal unit 300; a front case 100 holding the liquid crystal unit 300; a backlight unit 400 including the light source 411 installed on the substrate 412 and illuminating the liquid crystal unit 300 from the back; and a rear case 200 holdings the backlight unit 400. The substrate 412 includes an extension part 412B extended in a direction of the rear case 200 and having a heat dissipation circuit pattern 413 continuous to the light source 411.
