<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic warp knitted fabric having excellent stretchability, recovery properties and excellent surface quality considered to be suitable for inner wear such as sportswear, swimming wear, a leotard and a foundation in combination. <P>SOLUTION: The elastic warp knitted fabric is obtained by arranging nonelastic fibers in a front reed and latent crimp developing fibers in a back reed and interknitting the fibers.
