PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery system which can avoid capacity drop among battery packs when power is supplied from a plurality of battery packs to the load side through a plurality of dischargers. SOLUTION: As a discharger for supplying power of a battery pack 30 to a load, a plurality of sets of dischargers 10<SB>1</SB>, ... are constituted by connecting a plurality of dischargers a, b, ... (10a, 10b, ...) having different output power and different upper limit current values in parallel. Out of the dischargers a and b in the discharger set 10, the discharger a having a highest output power is set with a lowest upper limit current value, and power is supplied to a load 40 from the discharger a preferentially to the other discharger b. Every time when the output current exceeds the present upper limit current value and drooping control operation is performed, a predetermined current increment is added to the upper limit current value to obtain a new upper limit current value. When the output current is below the upper limit current value for a predetermined time and drooping control operation is not generated, a predetermined current increment is subtracted from the upper limit current value to obtain a new upper limit current value.
