PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component and particularly an electrolytic capacitor for surely preventing entry of a foreign matter such as water or the like into an area between a metal case and an insulating sleeve from the bottom surface without remarkable increase in manufacturing cost and size. SOLUTION: An insulating bottom plate 2 is arranged by lamination at the external side of the bottom surface of a metal case 5 of the electrolytic capacitor. Moreover, an insulating sleeve 1 is loaded to a body portion of the metal case 5 and the entire circumference between the end part 11 in the bottom side of the insulting sleeve 1 and the external surface of the bottom plate 2 is sealed with a sealing material 10 formed of a resin material. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent entry of a foreign matter such as water or the like into the area between the insulating sleeve 1 and metal case 5 from the bottom surface side of the metal case 5.
