PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-concentration metal-dispersed liquid which has excellent dispersion stability in an alcohol solvent. SOLUTION: Metal particles having a mercaptocarboxylic acid and/or a salt thereof on the surface of the particle are dispersed into a solvent including an alcohol in the presence of an acid. Then, an esterification reaction is promoted, sulfur atom of thereby produced mercaptocarboxylate is strongly bonded to the metal, and an alkyl group is directed to the outside. Accordingly, the metal particle acquires extremely high affinity with the alcohol and is dispersed in the alcohol solvent.
