PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated transparent plate body uncoated with a thin film, which can shield infrared rays in summer and transmit infrared rays in winter. SOLUTION: This laminated transparent plate body 7 is used in a place where meridian passage altitude of the sun in midsummer isθ<SB>S</SB>, has a film, which has a diffraction grating, sandwiched between two transparent plate bodies, where an angleϕmade by a lattice plane of the diffraction grating and a normal of the transparent plate body is [sin<SP>-1</SP>(sinθ<SB>S</SB>/n)+sin<SP>-1</SP>(1/n)]/2 or more and [sin<SP>-1</SP>(sinθ<SB>S</SB>/n)+90°+sin<SP>-1</SP>(1/n)]/2 or less, provided that n is the refractive index of the two transparent plate bodies 1 and 6.
