Other method, apparatus and computer program product are configured to operate an electronic device in a wireless communications system to perform bidirectional communication operations in a wireless communications network; and to operate with a radio frame established by the wireless communications network, the radio frame further comprising a radio sub-frame, the radio sub-frame having a variable uplink transmission time interval and a variable downlink transmission time interval, the variable transmission time intervals implemented with a variable switch point between uplink and downlink timeslots.
