摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grayscale correcting method for a display device in which chromaticities can be made uniform fast for all input grayscales, the display device, and a computer program for actualizing output grayscale calculation of the display device by a computer. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 21 adjusts tristimulus values for black so that the ratio of the tristimulus values for black is equal to the ratio of tristimulus values measured for white. The CPU 21 measures tristimulus values corresponding to a plurality of input grayscales (gray gradations) to calculate target values of tristimulus values. The CPU 21 finds a correction value for a prestage LUT 12 based upon differences between the target values and measured values of the tristimulus values and poststage gamma. The CPU 21 finds a correction value for the prestage LUT 12 by performing interpolation operation using the poststage gamma for an input grayscale between two points where output grayscales have been adjusted. The CPU 21 adds the found correction value to a current output value of the prestage LUT 12 to adjust the output value of the prestage LUT 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
