<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device having an illuminance detection circuit improved in detection accuracy even when the illuminance of external light is low while avoiding dependence of an output frequency of the illuminance detection circuit on a parasitic capacitance. <P>SOLUTION: The display device has an illuminance detection circuit; and the illuminance detection circuit includes a photosensor changing a photocurrent depending on the illuminance of external light, a capacitor discharging charges by the flow of the photocurrent in the photosensor, and a comparator circuit comparing the voltage at one terminal of the capacitor to a comparison reference voltage, a switching circuit connected to the one terminal of the capacitor and charging the capacitor depending on an output signal level of the comparator circuit, and a selection circuit applying a first voltage or a second voltage to the other terminal of the capacitor depending on the output signal level of the comparator circuit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
