PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanner device capable of preventing trouble such that when a composite image of the top and reverse of a document is generated and displayed on a display, it becomes harder to know the contents of the documents. SOLUTION: A frame 31 previously set in a work area 30 where an acquired image 22 of the document 8 is pasted is compared with an image 22 of the document 8 pasted in the work area 30 after the image is acquired and when the image 22 pasted in the work area 30 is sized within the frame 31, the composite image of images 22 of the top and reverse sides of the document 8 is generated and displayed on the display 6, but when the image 22 pasted in the document 8 is too large to be within the frame 31 (protrudes from the frame), the individual images 22 of the top and reverse sides are displayed on the display 6 without generating the composite image of the top and reverse images 22 of the document 8.
