PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rotate a rotor without a bearing by levitating it with a coil provided in a stator. SOLUTION: A driver for the rotor includes the stator, a plurality of coils which are arranged apart in the circumferential direction along the circular inner perimetrical face of the stator, the rotor which is positioned without support rotatably and shiftably on the inner perimetrical side of the stator and also has N poles and S poles alternately in its circumferential direction, and a power means which supplies each coil with an AC current. It rotates the rotor while holding it apart from the stator, by the magnetic field in the direction of repulsion generated between itself and the rotor by the power supply from the power means to each coil.
