PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mannosylerythritol lipid-bonded polymer having a mannosylerythritol lipid (MEL) bonded to the polymer chain at the fatty acid terminal site through a covalent bond without changing the sugar skeleton of MEL having high physiological activity and biofunctionality, and to provide a method for the adsorption and separation of useful proteins such as antibody proteins by using the mannosylerythritol lipid-bonded polymer having high affinity, excellent hydrophilicity, dispersibility and corrosion resistance and exhibiting high physiological activities such as antibacterial property and antiviral activity as an affinity carrier. SOLUTION: The mannosylerythritol lipid-bonded polymer contains a mannosylerythritol lipid compound bonded at the fatty acid terminal through a covalent bond to at least a part of the reactive functional groups of a polymer having reactive functional groups on the main chain or the side chain.
